Dunfield has a rich history and culture with warm and friendly people who welcome vacationers with great hospitality.Dunfield is typical of numerous traditional outport settlements. It was associated with the inshore fishery, the Labrador fishery and the Seal fishery.Formerly known as “Cuckold’s Cove” it was renamed in 1913 as Dunfield after Reverend H. Dunfield.
