Mahone Bay is one of Canada's most picturesque towns. It's famous for its spectacular views of the harbour, colourful Victorian homes and its world famous three churches. This recent painting of them was created from a compilation of several of my photographs taken while I was there. Several layers of glazes were used while trying to create harmony of colour. It is basically a blue-green/yellow colour scheme since I wanted to create a sense of stillness, calm, and tranquility. This is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas, size 8 x 16 inches.
